Why: Join a credit union?
Once you are a member in good standing, your immediate family members are also eligible to join, and they can enjoy the same great benefits and services as you. As a member, you are joining a financial cooperative. Together, you and your fellow members pool their savings to offer other members loans, savings dividends, and financial services. Unlike banks, where profits are paid to stockholders, your credit union profits are returned to members through better rates, lower fees, new products and services, and superior member service.
How do I open a new account?
It all starts with a regular savings we call a Share account. All members must maintain a minimum balance of $5.00 in their Share account to be a member in good standing. This deposit represents your “SHARE” in the credit union. Once a member, always a member until you decide to close your account. Even if you separate from Essilorluxottica.
Members are encouraged to participate in an annual meeting of the shareholders. This is where members vote to elect the CU Board Officers, hear how things went in the past year, and see what is in store for the future. To become a member, complete the application online.
After completing the application, please email a picture or copy of your government-issued photo ID, driver’s license, or passport to memberstrust@luxotticaretail.com. Once received, a member service representative will contact you to help complete the process.
What kind of accounts does the credit union offer?
Savings and Checking Accounts: No matter where you are in your financial journey, we have a product available. Even incentive-based Youth accounts for all ages. Want to earn a little extra? We got that too. Money Market and Certificates of Deposit. Roth and Traditional IRA accounts are available.
Does the credit union offer lending products?
Unsecured Loans: Up to $12,000 for those who qualify. New and Used Autos, Boats, and RVs 1st Mortgage refinance of primary residence 2nd mortgages - Fixed and LOC VISA Credit Cards: 4 levels of cards available for all walks of credit. Great low fixed rates.
